--Army chief warns of enemies’ hybrid warfare on Iran

Frustrated at the failure of their plots against the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the enemies have waged hybrid warfare on Iran with extensive media and psychological operations, said the army’s commander.

In a message released on Monday, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi congratulated the Iranian nation on the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

-- Iran non-oil exports exceed $45b: Official

Iran exported over $45.3 billion worth of non-oil commodities during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022-January 20, 2023), announced the head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.

Alireza Peymanpak expressed hope that the annual exports of Iran will surpass $52 billion by March 20, so the country can experience the highest growth of non-oil exports over the last 10 years.

-- Russia turns to Iranian tractors to plow its farms

Russia began test imports of Iranian-made tractors as Moscow expands sourcing some of its needs previously reliant on Europe from the Islamic Republic amid Western sanctions.

The first group of Russian technicians, consisting of 13 people from St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk oblasts, has completed training courses on service and maintenance of Iranian tractors at Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITMCO) in Tabriz.

-- Iranian Domestic Suppliers Produce 98% of Petrochemical Catalysts

The CEO of the Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (PRTC) Majid Daftari has announced that 98% of the catalysts of the oil industry are produced by reliable domestic companies, adding: “Iranian catalysts are currently being exported to countries in the region and are being successfully used in complexes.”
Daftari at the first specialized exhibition and conference of the oil industry catalyst, which was held at the same time as 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, stated that the catalyst industry of the country is a precious group that was able to render Iran needless of importing catalysts.”

-- TPO: Non-Oil Exports Exceed $45.3bn

 The head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peyman-Pak said on Monday that non-oil exports of the country exceeded $45.3 billion in the first 10 months of the Iranian calendar year, an official said.
The official said that the non-oil exports of the country have exceeded $45.3 billion in the first 10 months of the Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022, to January 20, 2033.)
Peyman-Pak went on to say that the figure shows an 18% increase compared to the corresponding period last year.

-- Taekwondokas Scoop 5 Medals in Turkey

The Iranian taekwondo fighters have seized five medals in the World Taekwondo President Cup Europe WT G2 held in Istanbul, Turkey. Abolfazl Zandi in the weight category of -54 kg, Amir Muhammad Bakhshi in the weight class of -74 kg, and Mehran Barkhordari in the weight category of -87 kg won gold medals.
Abolfazl Abbasi in the weight category of +87 kg took silver and Mir Hashem Husseini in the weight class of -80 kg bagged a bronze medal.

--India-France-Qatar co-production “The Winter Within” opens Fajr festival intl. competition

 The international competition of the 41st Fajr International Film Festival opened on Sunday by screening “The Winter Within”, a co-production of India, France and Qatar.

In this film directed by Aamir Bashir, a couple is torn apart by the violent military conflicts in the Kashmir region between India and Pakistan.

-- Linguists shed new light on Gilgamesh epic using AI tool

 Linguists at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Germany’s Institute for Assyriology say they have created an artificial intelligence (AI) bot to help piece together and decipher illegible fragments of ancient Babylonian texts. “The Fragmentarium” is the name given to it.

Since 2018, Enrique Jiménez, professor of ancient Near, Eastern literature at the Institute of Assyriology at LMU and his group have been working to digitize every cuneiform tablet still in existence. The project has processed up to 22,000 text fragments during that time.

-- Iranian universities advance in ISC ranking

 A total of 63 universities from Iran have been listed in the Islamic World University Rankings 2022 announced by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), compared with 51 universities in 2021.

In the 2022 ISC ranking, there were 347 universities from 28 Islamic countries, where Turkey with 90 universities, and Iran with 63 universities had the largest number.
